|Robert John “Ike” Eisenhauer, Jr., 80 of Hessel, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at McLaren Hospital, Flint, Michigan after a prolonged illness. He was born October 20, 1933 in Fairmont, West Virginia to Robert John, Sr. & Cynthia Irene Eisenhauer.
Ike was predeceased by wives, Lena Lovere and Nancy Louella, parents, Robert Sr. and Cynthia and sister, Eva Mae Blatz. Ike is survived by 5 children, Katrina and David Johns of Flushing, Kimberly and Thomas Doty of Burlington, KY, Robert and Carin Eisenhauer of Edmond, OK, Julie and Mark Lingenfelter of Cape Coral, FL, Jeremy and Susan Eisenhauer of Lansing and 5 stepchildren, Michael and Deborah Addison of Burt, Edward and Mary Addison of Raleigh, NC, Lincoln Addison of Flint, Theresa and Ken Priest of Brier, WA and Samantha Simms of Owosso, 28 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren, former wife, Shirley of Lansing and her children, Carolyn Stefanski of Euless, TX and Rita Bunting of Lansing.
Ike retired from General Motors Truck Assembly, Flint, Michigan, July 1989, was a Lieutenant with the Flint Police Reserves, a member of the American Legion, Post #0225, a member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Quarter Century Wireless Association (QCWA). Ike was an Eagle Scout, enjoyed hunting, recreational shooting, and was an avid collector of Indian memorabilia.
Inurnment will be at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery. Memorial will be held for family and friends on Friday, July 11th, 2:00-5:00P at the Johns’ residence in Flushing, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the American Cancer Society.
